From its very beginnings, Living Word International was organized to support and work with the national pastors and peoples to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The nationals know the peoples, languages, cultures, needs and issues. By working with them, we can accomplish much for the glory of God. And since that time, we have not changed--and will not change--this primary objective.
We have had many opportunities to work with hundreds of pastors within and without the church atmosphere. We cross many denominational lines to share the Word and reach the lost for Christ. We do not limit ourselves to the church scene but have had numerous opportunities to speak to business men and women and countless organizations. Our purpose is to be faithful to the goal, and let our bountiful God bring the increase.
The national pastors and workers need encouragement and instruction. We write biblical-based training materials, send them by email for translation, and then, go and interact with the nationals in training sessions.
The church serves as the foundation for preaching, teaching and evangelizing. Did not our Lord commission us to build His Church? Our entire interest rests in promoting the local churches, not our mission agency. The planting of seeds over the years has brought many new members into the kingdom of God.
The Gospel has no age or cultural limitations; they simply need the opportunity to hear and respond. Jesus Christ and His cross work changes hearts in both open and closed societies. By God's grace, we go and preach Christ wherever the Spirit leads. Most of our work reaches into the Third World countries that have very little in this world. Having traveled in many poor countries (some of the poorest in the world), I have seen numerous humanitarian needs. Living Word International does not hesitate to meet these needs as our partners support this work. Often, the Gospel will not be heard until the basic needs are addressed.
